Experts tested the foods you consume regularly and discovered a chemical responsible for the formation of tumor.
Namely, experts discovered a chemical, called acrylamide, and it can be found in coffee, potato chips, French fries, crackers and even in some baby foods. The dangerous compound is created during the heating or frying process of the previously mentioned foods.
Even the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) confirmed how dangerous this chemical is, and they already started suggesting new laws that would later be supervised, wrote Daily Mail.
In Great Britain, food producers already run under a high pressure to change the food processing methods, in order to reduce the amounts of acrylamide.
Why is this compound that dangerous?
“When consumed orally, acrylamide is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and than transported to every vital organ, which then metabolize it. The result of this process is called glycidamide, and it causes genetic mutations and tumors noticed in laboratory animals”, explains doctor Diane Bedford, head of the EFSA Scientific Committee responsible for the research studies on acrylamide.
